I am naturally sweet with a beautiful light tan color, but it’s my delicious ingredients; milk and date that give me my golden glow. To no surprise fitness trainers and life, coaches recommend me to everyone who has a goal of health, balance, and happiness.

I fit into any calorie-restricted diet because I am naturally half the calories of any other ice cream, I am a great dessert for those who need to watch their sugar intake, I can mend a broken heart, boost endurance for play between the sheets, bring smiles when sitting around the fireplace in the winter and under blankets, or cool you off in the summer heat. I have been dubbed the breakfast ice cream by my creators, Gol Ice Cream because with a scoop of me and you will be able to power through your day. This is a known fact from a century ago. Gol Ice Cream has taken this old-time method of soaking dates in milk in a cool environment overnight to capture the benefits of the date. The mixture becomes a power booster that was invaluable decades ago to perform hard labor on daily basis or to enjoy an evening affair. It’s no coincidence that I’m called the double date delight and my color has that golden glow.

When I was in high school my friends and I used to enjoy going to the local ice cream shop and order ridiculously large sundaes smothered in nauseating combinations of toppings.  Back then, quantity trumped quality.  Back then I thought it would benefit all of humankind if I wrote a book about ice cream.  The following is the introduction of the book that was never written but often researched that I wrote in 1982.

“Introduction by Steve M, July 25, 1982

The general public will be quick to tell you that to eat ice cream is very simple and that it would be a ridiculous adventure to try to write a book on the subject.  I’m sorry, but that simply isn’t true.  I have taken it upon myself to teach our society proper ice cream eating etiquette which has been lost through generations of the improper consumption of our country’s favorite dessert.   I will present the proper method of eating every form of ice cream from the simple single scoop cone to the massive but ingenious creations the “DIABLO”, or the “DRESSER DRAWER”.  Not only shall we study the proper techniques of eating this ancient delicacy, I will survey many ice cream parlors in the Bay Area and present to you, the interested eater, an honest, detailed description of each including the service, preparation and appearance, the spoon provided, and of course the quality of the ice cream.

Having shown enough interest to read this far, I believe that you will find the rest of this book extremely fascinating as well as educational, and I can guarantee you’ll at least chuckle before it’s through.

Let’s address the obvious; why am I so loved? While many other food items wish they could be me, it must be my deep red color, the crunch of my seeds, or the way my juice quenches thirst. My smooth exterior and artistic appeal help, but really, it’s my healing powers and ability to complement so many other ingredients. My anti-oxidative, anti-carcinogenic, and anti-inflammatory properties set me apart.

My creator, Mr. Golnazar Jr., made me even more irresistible. While most could only turn me into a sherbet, Gol Ice Cream went above and beyond and transformed me into a rich, creamy pomegranate ice cream with delectable chunks of dark chocolate. This combination takes ice cream to a gourmet level that everyone can enjoy at home. Since my debut, people have been raving about me! Talk about being in demand, but hey, “we all scream for ice cream!”

I don’t like to brag, but everything about me is useful. From my flower to my seeds, skin, and oil, there’s no part of me that goes to waste. I appeal to people of all ages and pair perfectly with mixed drinks, desserts, and even salads for the health-conscious. Told you, I’m versatile.

Over the years, I’ve enhanced countless dishes, but my latest collaboration with Mr. Chocolate Milk is a showstopper. We complement each other in both warm and cold seasons, making ice cream a year-round treat. The anticipation has been building, and now that we’ve finally teamed up, our blend of flavors is making waves. As Mr. Chocolate Milk himself said, covering a scoop of me is “a dream come true.”
